My Top Five "What-Happens-After-The-How I Wish I Can Boycott This-Elections???"

3). Philippine elections: Emergence of Media Lackeys

First, let's define what "Media" is.
For the average Pinoy (short-hand for Filipino but now I consider this somewhat derogatory), what he means by media is: his television, his FB page, and that boom-ba-dum-boom-boom bass radio wherein all he could listen to were love-problems. In short all stuff that could effuse stupidity in a person.
This vulnerability of the average Pinoy is the bread and butter of ALL media outlets today in the country. SO what's the real deal?
Be reminded that I'm not going to talk about defining media in other areas (i.e arts, biology, etc.); solely in communications and how they will add red to the already bloody red coming aftermath elections.

Media,if one looks into Wikipedia entry, [are communications] tools to store and deliver information and data. The entry under communications lists fifteen varieties (including international ones and mixed ones) 
(addendum in brackets/parentheses are mine).
Given the 21st century backdrop, I can safely say that our country has all the media varieties technology has to offer.  Thinking Filipinos now have the upper-hand in filtering, classifying and disseminating information that will suit their conscience and help them decide on which candidate they should vote for and which candidate they should incarcerate.

Yet, yet, yet and another YET...
HERE'S MY TAKE...

With all the abundance of media and it's looming godfather-like power, it doesn't always mean that Philippine elections and its results are going to be seen solely in after the last papers are scanned into the PICOS machines and final votes are counted.

Shortly thereafter, wolf-crying politicos will come out from under the rock and scream for justice: it's more fun in the Philippines to see politicians grab-hold each other by the balls and claim they were cheated by one another; they are going to betray themselves like lovers since they will be using the same terminologies and "lawful" dialogues.
And It's going to be a sequel of their pre-elections sparring match.

Now here is how the media, willingly or unwillingly, lends itself to the fray...
I do not doubt the zeal of individual journalists who shed some light to the vaguest political fiascoes and help enlighten Filipinos. So exemplary are their feats even to the point of risking life to expose the evil behind "democratic" masks-- for that, kudos to the these journalists!

But there are journalists and sad to say some of the corporate media, even some netizens, who lend their spaces for politicians who bicker at each other. Thus effectively favoring one politician than the other.  And to put more insult to the injury of real democracy, these political "pawns" would be more than eager to white-wash the tombs of these hooligans whom they bow down to as their masters.

It pains me to see this happen before my very eyes.

What would they say before the niche of those journalists who perished before them?
