Morality: The Last Bastion (Part Two)

DISCLAIMER: This isn't a hate-blog. The purpose of this entry (and of the part 1) is to discuss the deconstruction of the La Veyan belief system. This blog is neither a denigration of a certain group nor is this a vilipending  of any person. With the backing of the reasoning of the Bible, the Church fathers, atheists, former LaVeyans and LaVeyans themselves, I would try to unveil the "mask" of the so-called Satanist religion.

ATHEISTIC MORALITY OF LaVeyan SATANISM :

Where Does It Come From and Where Does It Lead?

There is nothing more intimidating to discuss than the question of morality. Why is it intimidating? Try to put any belief system in the Litmus test, and you will see how each of the belief system becomes frenzied when the word "morality" comes along.

Let's see what the definition of morality is for the sake of this deconstruction. 

According to Wikipedia, "morality" comes from Latin "moralitas" which means "manner, character, proper behavior". Morality, accordingly, is the differentiation of intentions, decisions, actions between those that are "good (or right)" and those that are "bad (or wrong)". The philosophy behind morality is called "ethics". While the two words "morality" and "ethics" are meant in effect interchangeably this juxtaposition of the meaning of both words will not affect this entry negatively because morality is our litmus paper on which the acidity of the Satanic religion shall be tested.

Now why would the discussion of morality be intimidating? More to the point, why SHOULD this be intimidating? This should be intimidating because morality involves persons-- you and I. Morality is not a concept that suddenly puffed out out of nowhere. 

There are some who fancy that there are no absolute morals because morality is relative to context (not all naturalist-atheists believe in relativism, take Sam Harris for instance); it depends on the situation.

LaVeyan Satanism's morality revolves around this notion. And because this religion is non-theistic, this brand of Satanism has attracted a number of Atheists who, after renouncing God, or choosing to disbelieve in God, manages to replace "self" as a substitute for God, hence, their maxim "I am my own god".

Precisely the reason why atheists, like Christopher Hitchens (an atheist and humanist), lambasted this organization. Turning individual self into a god-rip-off is too much for the real meaning of Atheism which is "no god". In other words, for hardcore atheists like Hitchens and Dawkins, not even "the self" could justify a re-creation of a god which atheists like themselves have so flatly denied and have so flatly declared war against. They are militantly against ANY form of god.

Let me put here an aside: it is important to point out that it's not just theists who have brands or flavors, atheists too. In this case, the LaVeyan flavor of atheism.
